This month’s meeting will be a Hands-on Plant Workshop! We will be re-potting and
refreshing our ACSS show plants to prep for the Spring Show & Sale as well as potting
Show & Sale raffle plants. If you have a couple of plants you’d like to repot, please feel free
to bring them! This is also a great time to bring plants you’d like to break up and share with
other club members or donate to our raffle plant stock. The club will supply soil, top
dressing, and plastic pots.
**If you have any 4” or 6” sturdy, square plastic pots to donate to the workshop, please bring
them!
** Members will need to bring their own gardening tools as we won’t have enough for
everyone.
Additionally, we will have a Plant Show & Tell. This will be a brief snapshot talk about your
plant (your name, plant’s name, why you brought it- 30 seconds max). During break
people can go around and check out each other’s Show & Tell plants.
To prepare for our meeting, we will need volunteers! We need 4 volunteers to set up. We will
meet at the greenhouse at 6 pm to load plants into cars to take to the lecture hall. The set-
up team will cover tables with plastic and set up potting work stations with pots, soil, top
dressing.
We will also need a Teaching/ supervising team of about 2-3 to show attendees how to pot
the plants. Lastly, We need a clean-up team of 3-4 to help clean up from our hard work!
